Sarah & Jordan

Sarah and Jordan were married in June, on a beautiful summer’s day in Uckfield, East Sussex.

Sarah came to our first meeting with paper roses made from comics and wanted me to incorporate their love of quirky comic book heroes with a wild natural look using green and white. Sarah’s dress and look had a very classic Sixties feel, so I wanted to evoke this classic era in my design while staying true to her personal style.

Sarah and Jordan are quirky and fun; they don’t take themselves too seriously, as reflected in their delightful paper roses! They are very supportive of each other and extremely family-orientated. The lake, surrounding grasses and natural habitat of the venue inspired my flower choice plus Sarah’s love of greenery and her quirkiness inspired the hand-tied, asymmetrical bouquet.

For Sarah and Jordan’s wedding, I used Norma Jean roses, white sweet peas, white Veronica, lily of the valley, dill, white astilbe ,white lisianthus, white dendrobium orchids, white nigella, tree fern, setaria, soft ruscus and parvifolia eucalyptus and rosemary white spray roses.

The wedding was quintessentially English and you could imagine watching a game of cricket being played on the green with a Pimms in your hand!
